Mulch & Topsoil We Deliver

We source all materials from established Palm Beach County landscape supply yards. Tell us what you need and how much, and we’ll pick it up and deliver it to your property — usually the same day or next morning.

Hardwood Mulch

The most common mulch in Palm Beach County landscapes. Hardwood mulch — sometimes called eucalyptus or utility mulch — breaks down slowly in South Florida’s heat and rain, holds color reasonably well, and does a solid job suppressing weeds and retaining soil moisture. It’s the go-to for residential landscape beds, tree rings, and general ground cover. Available in natural brown and dyed varieties depending on supplier stock.

Pine Bark & Pine Bark Nuggets

Pine bark mulch is lighter than hardwood and breaks down faster in South Florida’s climate, but it’s preferred for acid-loving plants like ixora, gardenias, azaleas, and palms. Pine bark nuggets — the larger, chunkier version — are popular for decorative beds and around specimen plantings where you want a more manicured look. Both available in fine shred and nugget sizes.

Red & Black Dyed Mulch

Color-dyed mulch holds its appearance longer than natural mulch in South Florida’s intense sun and daily rain cycles. Red and black are the two most popular colors locally — red mulch gives a bold contrast against green foliage and white stucco, while black mulch provides a cleaner, more modern look that works well with contemporary Florida landscaping. The dye is vegetable-based and safe for plants and soil. Popular with investors and property managers who want curb appeal that lasts between service visits.

Screened Topsoil & Garden Blend

South Florida’s native soil is mostly sand and limestone — it drains fast and holds almost no nutrients. If you’re planting new beds, building raised gardens, re-sodding, or filling low spots that collect water, you need screened topsoil or a garden-grade blend mixed with organic compost. We deliver both. Screened topsoil works for grading, leveling, and sod prep. Garden blend — topsoil mixed with compost and sometimes peat — is what you want for planting beds, vegetable gardens, and anywhere you need soil that actually holds moisture and nutrients.

How Much Mulch or Topsoil Do You Need?

Landscape materials are sold by the cubic yard. One cubic yard is roughly enough to cover a 10×10 foot area at about 3 inches deep — which is the standard mulch depth for most landscape beds. Here’s a quick reference to help you estimate what your project needs:

Mulch at 3 inches deep: 1 cubic yard covers approximately 100 square feet. A typical residential re-mulch for a home with beds along the front, sides, and a few backyard tree rings runs 3–6 cubic yards. Larger properties with extensive landscaping or commercial sites often need 8–15 cubic yards or more.

Topsoil at 4–6 inches deep (for new beds or sod prep): 1 cubic yard covers approximately 50–75 square feet depending on depth. Re-sodding a 1,000 square foot backyard with 4 inches of topsoil underneath requires roughly 12–13 cubic yards. Filling a raised garden bed that’s 4×8 feet and 12 inches deep takes about 1 cubic yard.

Our dump trailer holds approximately 4–5 cubic yards per load for mulch, and slightly less for heavier materials like topsoil and garden blend. Most residential mulch jobs fit in one load. Larger projects — commercial properties, full yard re-soils, or multi-phase landscaping — may require multiple loads, which we run back-to-back the same day.

Not sure how much you need? That’s fine — just tell us what you’re doing. Send us photos of the area you’re covering, or give us approximate dimensions and we’ll calculate the volume for you. We’d rather you order the right amount the first time than make a second trip.

Why Bulk Delivery Beats Bags Every Time

Bagged mulch from the big box stores costs more per cubic yard — significantly more. A 2 cubic foot bag of mulch at a home improvement store runs roughly $3–5. You need 13.5 bags to equal one cubic yard. That’s $40–68 per cubic yard just for the material, plus your time loading the bags into your car, driving them home, and cutting open and dumping 50 to 80 bags across your yard. Bulk mulch from a local supplier runs a fraction of the per-yard cost, and we deliver it directly to your driveway. For any project larger than a few bags, bulk delivery saves you real money and hours of work.

We deliver to the exact spot you need it — not just the curb. Large landscape supply trucks dump at the end of the driveway and leave. Our compact dump trailer can back into side yards, through gates, behind houses, and alongside landscape beds to place the material as close to where it’s going as possible. Less wheelbarrowing for you or your landscaping crew means the job gets done faster.

Pair delivery with old mulch or debris removal. If your existing beds have old, decomposed mulch, landscape fabric, or debris that needs to come out before the new material goes down, we can handle both in the same trip. We haul away the old material, then come back with the fresh load. One crew, one call — removal and delivery handled together.

Mulch & Topsoil Delivery FAQ

How much does mulch delivery cost?

You pay for the material (at the supplier’s bulk rate) plus a delivery fee. The delivery fee covers our time picking up the material and bringing it to your property. Total cost depends on the type of mulch and the volume you need. Call us with your material type and approximate square footage and we’ll give you an all-in quote — material plus delivery — before you commit.

Can you deliver the same day?

In most cases, yes. If you call in the morning and the supplier has your material in stock, we can usually pick up and deliver the same day. For next-morning delivery, we can pick up late in the day and run it first thing. Availability depends on our schedule and the supplier’s stock — but we’ll confirm timing before you commit.

How much mulch fits in one load?

Our dump trailer holds approximately 4–5 cubic yards of mulch per load. That’s enough to cover 400–500 square feet at 3 inches deep, which handles most standard residential re-mulch jobs. If your project needs more, we run multiple loads back-to-back the same day. Topsoil and garden blend are heavier, so loads are slightly smaller — roughly 3–4 cubic yards depending on moisture content.

Can you dump the mulch in my backyard instead of the driveway?

If we can get the trailer there, yes. Our dump trailer is 7 feet wide and 12 feet long, and it can fit through most side yard gates and access paths. If there’s a clear path from the driveway to the backyard — no tight corners, low-hanging branches, or gates narrower than 8 feet — we can back in and dump where you need it. Send us a photo of the access path and we’ll confirm.

What type of mulch is best for South Florida?

It depends on what you’re prioritizing. Hardwood mulch is the most cost-effective and widely used for general landscaping. Pine bark is better for acid-loving plants like ixora and gardenias. Dyed mulch (red or black) holds its color longer in South Florida’s sun and rain. For most residential properties, hardwood or dyed hardwood is the best balance of cost, appearance, and durability. Your landscaper can advise on what works best for your specific plants and beds.

Can you remove old mulch and deliver new mulch in the same trip?

Yes. We can haul away old, decomposed mulch, landscape fabric, or bed debris first, then come back with the fresh material. This is a common request — especially when beds haven’t been properly maintained and the old mulch has broken down into a compacted layer. We handle the removal and delivery as one coordinated job so you don’t have to hire two different crews.
