Shed, Deck & Fence Removal in Palm Beach County

The shed is rotting. The deck is warped. The fence fell over in the last storm and your HOA has been sending letters. These structures don’t just disappear — someone has to tear them down, break them apart, load the debris, and haul it all away. We handle the entire job: demolition, cleanup, and haul-away. You’re left with a clean, open space ready for whatever comes next.

South Florida’s heat, humidity, UV exposure, termites, and hurricane-force winds accelerate the deterioration of every outdoor structure. Wood rots faster here than almost anywhere else in the country. When it’s time to take it down, call us.

Structures We Tear Down & Haul Away

Every job includes the full scope — demolition, debris loading, haul-away, and site cleanup. You don’t need to hire separate crews for the teardown and the hauling.

Sheds & Storage Buildings

Wood sheds, metal sheds, resin/plastic sheds, and prefab storage buildings. We tear them down panel by panel, pull up the floor and any foundation blocks, and haul the entire structure away. In Palm Beach County, wood sheds deteriorate fast — termite damage, wood rot from humidity, and roof failure from UV exposure are the most common reasons they need to come down. Most residential shed removals take half a day including cleanup.

Decks, Docks & Pergolas

Wood decks, composite decks, small docks, pergolas, arbors, and gazebos. We pull up the decking boards, tear out the frame and joists, and remove the posts — down to grade level or below grade if needed. Deck demolition generates a lot of material quickly, especially pressure-treated lumber, and our dump trailer handles the volume. If the deck has a concrete footing or paver base underneath, we can include that removal in the same job.

Fences & Gates

Wood privacy fences, chain-link fences, PVC/vinyl fences, aluminum fences, and their posts and gates. Storms knock them down, termites eat through them, and the South Florida sun warps and cracks vinyl panels within a few years. We tear out the entire fence line — panels, rails, posts, and concrete footings — or just the damaged sections if you’re doing a partial replacement. If a fence contractor is building a new fence and needs the old one removed first, we coordinate timing so the old fence comes out and the site is clear before the new install begins.

Playhouses & Swing Sets

Wooden playhouses, swing sets, climbing structures, and backyard play equipment the kids outgrew years ago. These structures are heavy, bolted together, and cemented into the ground — not something you can disassemble and throw in the trash. We take them apart, pull the posts, and haul the whole thing away so you can reclaim that section of the yard.

Lattice, Trellises & Screen Walls

Lattice panels, privacy trellises, decorative screen walls, and other backyard structures that have deteriorated or just need to go. These are usually quick removals — the structure is lightweight relative to a shed or deck — but the material still needs to be properly hauled and disposed of rather than left in pieces around the yard.

Other Outdoor Structures

Dog kennels, chicken coops, outdoor bars, raised garden bed frames, retaining walls, and any other backyard structure that needs to be torn down and removed. If it’s not load-bearing, not attached to the home’s foundation, and doesn’t require heavy machinery to demolish, it falls within our light demolition scope. Send us photos and we’ll tell you if we can handle it.

How the Demolition Process Works

Quote. Send us photos of the structure — the overall size, the material condition, the access path from the street, and any obstacles we need to plan around (pool equipment, landscaping, underground utilities, neighboring fences). We’ll give you a firm price that covers the demolition, debris loading, haul-away, and site cleanup. Everything included, nothing extra.

Demolition. We show up with the tools needed for the job — reciprocating saws, pry bars, sledgehammers, and hand tools. Structures are taken apart methodically, piece by piece. We’re not just smashing things — we work carefully to avoid damaging adjacent structures, landscaping, irrigation lines, pool equipment, or anything else near the demo area. Posts are pulled or cut at grade level.

Load and haul. Every piece of the demolished structure goes into the dump trailer — lumber, hardware, roofing material, concrete footings, metal panels, everything. We run as many loads as needed until every scrap is gone. Nails are accounted for, and we don’t leave debris scattered across the yard.

Clean site. When the structure is gone and the debris is hauled, we rake and clean the area. The footprint where the structure stood is left clear and level. If you’re planning to build something new in that spot, the area is ready for your contractor. If you just want the space back, it’s ready for sod, landscaping, or whatever you have in mind.

We Also Handle

Outdoor structures are one part of our light demolition service. If the project also involves interior work or concrete, we handle those too — often as part of the same job and the same quote.

Shed, Deck & Fence Removal FAQ

Do I need a permit to demolish a shed, deck, or fence?

Palm Beach County and most municipalities within the county do not require a demolition permit for removing small accessory structures like sheds, fences, and residential decks. However, requirements can vary by municipality and HOA, and the rules may differ if the structure is attached to the home or involves electrical, plumbing, or gas connections. We recommend checking with your local building department or HOA before scheduling the work. If a permit is required, obtaining it is the homeowner’s responsibility.

How much does shed removal cost?

Shed removal pricing depends on the size, material, condition, and access situation. A small 8×10 wood shed in a backyard with gate access is a different scope than a large 12×16 building with a concrete slab behind a pool cage. We quote every job individually based on photos or a quick on-site look. The price always includes the full demolition, haul-away, and site cleanup — not just the teardown.

Do you remove the concrete pad under the shed?

Yes, if you want it removed. Some homeowners want the pad left in place for a future structure or storage use. Others want a clean slate. If you want the pad broken up and hauled away, we include it in the same quote. If the shed sits on concrete blocks or a gravel base instead of a poured pad, we remove those too.

Can you remove just part of a fence?

Yes. If a storm knocked down one section, or if you’re replacing a portion of a fence line while keeping the rest, we remove only the sections you specify. This is common when a fence contractor is installing new panels and needs the damaged section cleared first. We coordinate timing with your fence installer so there’s no gap in service.

How long does a typical demolition take?

A standard residential shed removal takes half a day. A deck demolition can take half a day to a full day depending on size and construction. A full fence line removal along a typical residential property takes several hours to a full day depending on the material and length. We give you a time estimate with the quote so you can plan accordingly.

Will you pull out the fence post concrete footings?

Yes. We dig out or break apart the concrete footings around fence posts and remove them along with the rest of the fence debris. If a new fence is going in the same location, pulling the old footings gives the new installer clean post holes to work with. If no new fence is planned, we remove the footings and fill the holes so the ground is level.
